Fire in Aude: "It is an event linked to global warming and linked to drought," declares François Bayrou

A wildfire of exceptional intensity has swept through 16,000 hectares in the Aude department, leaving one dead and several injured, including civilians and firefighters. Several municipalities have had to be partially evacuated, and a large-scale emergency response force has been mobilized. Prime Minister François Bayrou visited the site on Wednesday, August 6.
